Sweden's Wy is a duo not super easy to outline in a single word, but among those things that are sure about them is that they always sound sad, that their music certainly feels anchored on dreampop and shoegaze and that they evoke memories of greatness past and bits of prominent acts like Cocteau Twins or This Mortal Coil.
Their debut album will not be out until October, but the first single off it, the mesmerizing Bathrooms was released today, accompanied by an aesthetically matching music video.
According to the band, their new song speaks "about self-doubt and the confusions of being a twenty year old," and it overflows with sentimentality, melancholy and elegance.
