Off their recently released sophomore album, Electric Dead, I Am Almost Perfectly Awake is the latest single by San Francisco's NRVS LVRS (pronounced "Nervous Lovers"), the husband and wife duo which since 2014 have done a fine job putting their dark electronic influences to excellent use and providing an excuse for a few publications to utter the term coldwave again.
Bevin Fernandez and Andrew Gomez's dark and beautiful synth-y textures and alluring vocals, as cold and detached as they often strike, find the band at their most scintillating and timidly exciting on I Am Almost Perfectly Awake which comes with a splendid, full of impressive visuals video, directed and edited by David Dutton.
