San Fransisco's NRVS LVRS have been supporting their excellent synthpop album, Electric Dread, with single and music video releases, the latest of which is Lost To The Max, which musically sounds like one of the LP's most accessible for mainstream consumption pieces, but due to its theme and lyrics it can also be one of its deepest cuts.
The song is paired with a sweet on the eyes and absolutely enchanting, cinematic video, directed by Lauren Tabak, which narrates a creepy story and is described by the band as "a condemnation of violence against women and a revenge fantasy that spans 200 years."
In accordance with the band's tasteful aesthetics and strong character, Lost To The Max - both as a song and a video, is a compelling examination on a serious issue which society should have straightened out ages ago.
