Yer So Bad // Tom Petty

Tom Petty was brought into the world too late and left it too early. Too late, because his music would have been a great fit in the revolutionary rock 'n' roll spirit for which he was about a decade late, and too early because he passed away at the age of 66.

He had an impeccable knack for music videos. In the eighties, if you hadn't noticed Petty and the Heartbreakers for their music, there was no way the band's videos wouldn't have grabbed your attention. Don't Come Around Here No More from 1985's Southern Accents, was probably their first flabbergasting music video, and a little later, almost all five singles for Tom's first solo album, Full Moon Fever, in 1989 was just as captivating, with maybe the exception of I Won't Back Down which focused more on showcasing a simple performance by the band which included half of The Beatles and Jeff Lynne.

Tom Petty's video are music and TV history, and we have compiled some of our favorites in a playlist below, comprised of 20 Tom Petty ones (with or without the Heartbreakers) and five by The Traveling Wilburys.
