Although the duo of Tea Leigh and Luke Reed earned some well deserved appreciation with their previous collaboration in 2012, both artists have been busy, one as a tattoo artist with her all female shop in Brooklyn, and the other as a member of Bent Shapes, Mini Dresses, and also with his solo records, but hadn't come back to reunite their creative vision, until now.
Underwater is a wonderful low-key single that marks the return of Tea Leigh and Luke Reed as a duo. The song's dreampop wistfulness and its attractive warmth convey much casualness and familiarity, and certainly does not leave an impression of an act that hasn't created together for five whole years.
