Offering their own unique take on one of the most famous chord progressions in popular music, Isaac Hayes' Ike's Rap 2, previously sampled Portishead among others, Norwegian electronic band, Flunk, have just released the title track of their sixth full length album, Chemistry And Math, as a single. The song had been the most popular non-single track on the album so far, with 37,000 plays on Spotify.
Oppositely to the band's previous album, Lost Causes, which was mostly done in a studio, but in accordance with their lo-fi unorthodox methods of recording everything spontaneously as living room, bedroom or kitchen table work, Chemistry And Math took 28 months to create, and it emerges just as impressive, strong and confident as anything else in Flunk's catalog which after fifteen whole years is beginning to get quite long.
