28 whole years after their legendary debut, Taste, and still led by founding member Stephen Lawrie, English psych rockers, The Telescopes are having a great year with the releases of their excellent ninth album, As Light Return, and their tenth one, the more ambient Stone Tape.
In support of those and after their gig at Copenhagen Psych Fest being cancelled, the band dropped by the Tapetown studios in Aarhus to record what may be the most jaw-dropping moment in the studio's series of live sessions so far, for which the bar was already set pretty high by acts such as Ulrika Spacek, Pale Honey, The Fresh & Onlys and more.
In the 11-minute video that follows, the band performs You Can't Reach What You Hunger and Something In My Brain, both from As Light Return, and proves once more their superiority in the world of psychedelic rock and shoegaze, and how engaging and fascinating they can be as a live act.
