Following their self-titled debut album from 2016, German shoegaze trio, Creams, return with a new full length. Olympia II releases February 2nd, 2018 via Hidden Structures and Sportklub Rotter Damm. The couple of samples we got to hear this far demonstrate a case of profound sentimentality, epic proportions and excellent production.
On their new work the Leipzig trio sounds assured and masterful at incorporating a distinct touch of post-punk-inclined darkness to their reverb-heavy, shoegaze nature, and through the more daring and exploratory compositions that both their new singles are, Creams showcase their splendid musicianship while being all the way effective.
No surprise that Creams cite among their influences beloved acts like Slowdive, Built To Spill and Sad Lovers & Giants and have shared the stage with forceful new bands such as Ulrika Spacek, Merchandise and Big Ups.
