Chicago's Ganser have their debut album, Odd Talk, ready for release on April 20th via No Trend Records, and from the first looks and sounds of it, it is safe to say that it is going to be a mighty good one.
PSY OPS, the first single and video off the upcoming record is a vicious post punk piece, bringing together its straightforward angst-ridden energy with touches from the genre's more goth-inclined past, and the intensity of late seventies' no wave. It's an impressive single to break out with, and so good that it should not be missed.
PSY OPS comes accompanied by an indie cinematic video directed by the band themselves and starring Matt Blanton and the members of the band who haunt the guy as he's working through his morning ritual, trying to make breakfast.
If you're not already hooked through the handful of their previous EPs and singles, get to know Ganser through their promising debut, and catch them live as they're heading out in the US Southeast.
