Lost Time is the self-produced debut full length album by Seattle-based indie rockers, Close Encounter. It follows last year's seven-track EP, First Light, with which the band showed for the first times its psychedelic colors, shoegazing qualities and versatile character as a creative unit.
Among their influences Close Encounter mention an array of elegant, yet, diverse sounds, like dark eighties pop, nineties shoegaze and jangley disco, all of which make their presence felt in a subtle but vital manner on the album's self-titled track. It is also the LP's striking opener, a four-minute piece which through its hazy dreampop character and quality traits passes on the many-sided complexion of Close Encounter's music with telling effect.
Close Encounter consists of Bill Darksoft (guitar, vocals), Bobby Sydney (guitar, vocals), and Cameron Lambert (drums).
