Although Pink Thoughts is only the debut single by Bay Area shoegazers, Topographies, the band's members have had their fair share of experience in the local scene through numerous notable bands and projects.
Topographies were formed by Gray Tolhurst (Coo Coo Birds), Jeremie Ruest (Cerf Volant, Your Friend, Lavender Blush), Justin Oronos (Solip), and Lauren Grubb (Minipop, To The Wedding) in 2017, and their stellar sound draws heavily from the fuzziest, noisiest and overall best of nineties' shoegaze. Their upcoming debut EP was recorded and produced at New, Improved Recording in Oakland, California by Alexis Berthelot (Gojira, Wolfgang Tillmans, Enablers) in late 2017.
Captivating in all its haziness and dreamlike charm, Pink Thoughts sounds like a perfect start for the newfound band, and it is accompanied by a beautiful video which illustrates their intricate sound in excellence.
