Following the release of their wonderful four-song EP, Everything And Nothing, from late last year, Brighton's Psylhouette return with a jangly, summery new single. just in time for the turn of the season.
Tristan Learmonth and Juli Holz put their EBow and Moog synthesizer to excellent use, and come up with another lovely single which appears as one the band's most straightforward dreampop numbers, this time restricted to a more concise, three-minute format.
Compared to the more venturesome, kraut-inclined approach Psylhouette have indulged in on their previous releases, My Favourite Disaster is a sweeter and more to-the-point track, once more exhibiting the duo's firm musicianship and creative intelligence.
