Released back in late January in their home, New Zealand, Zoe/Run is the latest double A-side, 7-inch single by The Shifting Sands, which has its Northern Hemisphere release on May 11th, 2018.
The band's guitar driven, power pop/psych/post punk sound has rightfully earned a lot of appreciation in the past, through their notable and acclaimed full lengths, Cosmic Radio Station (2015) and Feel (2012), as well as comparisons to notorious acts like Big Star, Sonic Youth, and also the sound of legendary New Zealand label, Flying Nun Records.
After Run, now Zoe (pronounced "Zoh") comes with great looking visuals too, in a grabbing, dark and colorful video courtesy of Veronica Brett. The song was recorded in Los Angeles after the band toured the US West Coast, supporting David Kilgour and the Heavy Eights.
