French trio, Birds In Row, are taking their unique, dejected fusion of post punk and post hardcore to the next level, as they are about to release their sophomore album, We Already Lost The World, and from the couple of songs unveiled, it sounds like their most mature and profound work thus far.
Firstly, 15-38 introduced us to the coming album's more intricate and expansive properties. Now the just unveiled album opener, We Count So We Don't Have To Listen, comes much more aggressive and noisy, but as much as its title conveys so much intrigue, the song amidst all its aggression still manages to carry those dramatic and poetic qualities that boldly lurk through the band's dynamic sound.
Birds In Row will be returning to North American this summer, alongside some equally weighty and expressive acts. First with Neurosis and Converge, then on an East Coast run with Portrayal of Guilt. Check out the route below.
