Opposed to the punchier post punk energy of their previous single, Sex Sells, this new track by Melbourne trailblazers, Diana Radar, leans towards a dreamier and more psychedelic sound. Mustard comes with a video which corresponds with the music's DIY casualness, self-produced, directed and shot by the band in their neighborhood.
The four-piece recorded the new single in their Carlton share house, where they lived together for a year and committed entirely to putting together their new material. With each of their single releases Diana Radar show more of their inherent versatility and restless, firm creativity, which always results to something impressive, whether the scale slants toward an emphatic punk sound, or a more laid-back, lo-fi-ridden chillwave.
The band plan on releasing their new material on an album or EP sometime soon.
