The world has been deprived of the dispirited music of Australia's HTRK for a rather long time. Four whole years have passed since the release of the excellent Psychic 9-5 Club, and the surviving members of the band, Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang return with a two-track EP, quite intriguingly and aptly titled, Drama.
The duo's next album is currently in development and expected to come in the next months. Drama releases July 6th, 2018 on Ghostly International. Side-A, Mentions, is a six-minute gloomy cut which comments on the social media age and the lack of physical intimacy, and while it appears strongly connected to the melancholic sound of Psychic 9-5 Club, it reveals a reinvigorated and strengthened act, ready to once more crush it, like they always do.
