Lazyeyes is a Brooklyn-based four-piece whose imaginative mixture of shoegaze, dreampop, psychedelia and garage rock has already produced a series of notable EPs and singles since their inception in 2013. The band is set to put out their debut album, Echoes through Egghunt Records and 2670 Records (in Japan) on June 15th, 2018.
The couple of songs revealed off the coming album so far certainly meet all expectations, and display that Lazyeyes have a dreamy, gaze-y, special record on their hands. Echoes is produced by Ben Greenberg (Uniform, The Men), and it comes with great instrumental muscle, elegant hazy atmosphere and aesthetics, and a lot of confidence through the quartet's excellent delivery.
Although concise and tight, the self-titled track shows the band's more expansive, space rocking attitude, while the more recently unveiled, Glass House, carries a darker, post-punk energy that almost reaches the boundaries of new wave.
