Manchester-based Whyte Horses give their excellent fusion of indie pop and psychedelia the music video treatment for the first time ever. Off their recently released full length, Empty Words, opening song, Never Took The Time, now comes accompanied by a vividly colored video that equals the melancholic sixties pop tones for which the band is continuously gaining esteem.
Never Took The Time was written by the band's core songwriter and founder, Dom Thomas, and it features Leonore Wheatley and Mélanie Pain on vocals, while the impressive video was created by director/producer/editor James Slater.
Whyte Horses are gearing up for a headline show at Royal Festival Hall on September 13th, 2018, alongside members of The Go! Team, and a first rate group of guests including La Roux, Badly Drawn Boy, Melanie Pain and St Bart's Choir.
About the upcoming show, Dom Thomas describes the Whyte Horses Experience. "We approach each gig as stand-alone event in which we attempt to bring together all of our favourite films, music, art and squeeze it into one evening. We want to create an experience, a night that feels like The Velvet Underground sound-tracking a Stan Brakhage film, or The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour with an Exploding Plastic Inevitable-inspired lightshow.
"We’ve invited like-minded special guests to perform songs with us in a quasi TV special format, between songs from our albums Pop or Not and Empty Words. The Whyte Horse Experience is a place to hide away and forget about the outside world for a couple of hours."
