Over the course of the last three months Canadian indie rock trio, Basement Revolver, have unveiled pieces of their upcoming debut full length, Heavy Eyes, due out August 24th, 2018 from Sonic Unyon and Fear of Missing Out.
A week before the album's release, the band saved the most impressive for last, and share the title track, a gazey, fuzz pop gem with a heavier, guitar driven sound, and excellent production, redolent of a more alternative, grunge-like, nineties sound, and a theme as simple and weighty as the title itself.
Singer and songwriter, Chrisy Hurn explains: "Heavy eyes is about feeling really tired. And life is hard when you are really tired."
Enjoy the lushness and make sure to crank it up and stay put for the climactic, gorgeous finale.
