Following For My Crimes from earlier this summer, the second preview we get from the upcoming album by Marissa Nadler is Blue Vapor, another beautiful song which carries the artist's signature dark folk sound, and also comes with a hint of murkiness reminiscent of the great Roy Orbison.
The fantastic accompanying video is directed by Thomas McMahan, who has also worked with acts like Autolux and Drab Majesty, while the song features the notable vocal contribution of Dum Dum Girls’ Kristin Kontrol, and emphatic percussion by Hole’s Patty Schemel.
For My Crimes is out September 28, 2018 on Sacred Bones and Bella Union.
