Following When Come the Rats and the recently unveiled (Hookers with) Hidden Depths, Denmark's Pardans have just shared the opening track from their much anticipated sophomore LP, Spit and Image, due out October 5th, 2018 by Tambourhinoceros.
In a similar vein with their home peers, Iceage, Marching Church and Lower, the Copenhagen quintet presents a well-crafted daring approach on their songwriting, and an experimental sound based on post punk, and intriguingly bastardized with elements from jazz and No Wave.
On Burning House Bedding Pardans prove that their eccentricity works great on a shorter song format as well, since in only a couple of minutes the track becomes an excellent display of a dynamic, unafraid band, and a fascinating introduction to a very promising upcoming album.
The band also announced a series of shows in Denmark, Netherlands and the UK, with more dates to follow. Check them out below.
Pardans are Gustav Berntsen (vocals), Oskar Dinesen (drums), Rasmus Hastrup (bass), Patrick Rathbun (viola, piano, guitar), Daniel Honore (saxophone). On Spit and Image Rasmus Skovmose also contributes on guitar.
