We became familiar with the frantic post punk/garage rock sound of Brighton trio, Strange Cages, last year through their EP, The Cracks. After supporting acts like King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard and Night Beats, the band will be following their breakthrough release with another six-song EP, expected on September 28th, 2018 on Vallance Records.
Silver Queen EP's concept is based on the story of a fictional cult leader of the same name, and it has just been introduced by the completely mad, False Prophet Death Waltz, a great single and video which conveys the band's forceful, multi-leveled psychedelic rocking sound, heavily influenced by the genre's more wiry version, and much evocative of the spirit of the 1960s.
Once more the band collaborate with Todd McConnochie for the music video, who was able to capture the band's outlandish energy in all its glory.
