Samira Winter's and Glenn Brigman's collaborative adventure as Winter & Triptides finds both artist's exploring their genre mixing restlessness, and delivering one tunefully alluring single after another.
The newly unveiled, Doce Violeta, is the second fine amalgamation of the sunny, tropical Brazilian styles that run through Winter's veins, with the psychedelic largeness in Brigman's creativity, absorbed by a lo-fi approach which makes the whole endeavor sound more amiable and warmly familiar.
"I go through a lot of color phases and at the time I was really into the color violet," Winter reveals about the new single. "Also I was using a diamond violet image to mediate through the DeRose Method. The song is about that color but also about intuitional knowledge and wanting to connect with that level of consciousness."
