Shot in the woods of their home of Arizona, the new music video by heavy/experimental quarter, Holy Fawn, is a brilliant seven-minute film, directed by bird_sounds, coming in perfect likeness with the music's dark intensity.
Drag Me Into The Woods is part of the band's debut album, Death Spells, released this week via Whelmed Records.
While Holy Fawn cite influence from acts like Chelsea Wolfe, DIIV and This Will Destroy You, their multifaceted sound dives deeper into the realms of post rock, shoegaze, extreme metal and experimental ambiance, and it comes out as something purely unconventional and utterly compelling.
Drag Me Into The Woods is paradigmatic of the many layers of darkness the upcoming band have to offer through their prolific sound, and a fine representative of a great album that needs to be experienced in its entirety.
