Continuing to evolve and excite with every new forward step, New York's Me Not You have recently developed into a full on, four piece band, and have just come up with a couple of notable tracks that showcase a more accessible aspect of their craft, without losing any of the charm their combination of garage pop and dreampop has delivered in the past.
Buried Alive is a spirited indie rocker that sounds familiar even from the first listen, finds the band at their most approachable phase thus far, and emerges as a mighty fine successor to Reckoning 2, the band's latest, really well constructed and executed EP.
In a similar manner, Stranger does not need much to win its audience over; a downright melodious pop song, immersed in splendid fuzz and reverb, and like everything else in Me Not You's catalog, it's no wonder how impressively produced and skillfully brought together it sounds.
Two pretty sharp singles in so little time; it seems it won't be very long until Me Not You have another striking collection of songs ready for release.
