Partly immersed in the spirit of Halloween, and always conveying the band's tasteful indie/slowcore philosphy, the new video by Minnesota trio, Low, comes directed by the band's own, Alan Sparhawk, in collaboration with director Phil Harder whose previous work includes videos for Prince, Foo Fighters, Liz Phair, Babes in Toyland, Pulp, Afghan Whigs and many others.
Sparhawk states about the new video: "We present our slightly Halloween-themed video for Always Trying to Work It Out. In which… friends and family star in a stroll through the grocery store; familiar fragments from memory appear; masks are filtering light. Thank you National Sawdust, light tech Shane Donohue, and the Food Co-op in Duluth. It’s dedicated to our city of Duluth."
The universally acclaimed, and very much rightfully so, Double Negative is Low's twelfth album, and it is out now by the esteemed Sub Pop Records.
