Between traditional hard rock, progressive rock, shoegaze and post metal comes the multifarious, elevated sound of Massachusetts-based band, Astronoid, whose sophomore self-titled album, has been highly anticipated after the success of 2016's Air.
Astronoid releases February 1st, 2019 through Blood Music, and the freshly unveiled single, A New Color, carries equal doses of both the vulnerability and the firm heaviness which interact in the band's astute composition.
"We knew A New Color would open the record as soon as it was written," explains the band's own, Brett Boland. "The mood of this album is much different than Air. This is the closest I’ve been to wearing my heart on my sleeve. It feels real and true. A New Color was a pivotal point in the writing process that solidified the direction we wanted to move in and a perfect place to start."
Right after the album's release Astronoid will embark on a month-long US tour alongside Between The Buried and Me and Tesseract.
