New York's extreme metal heavyweights, Krallice, have been very productive during the past few years, yet, they were completely absent from new releases during the entirety of 2018. The band returned at the dawn of the new year, with a mighty impressive new EP, composed of five staggering and bewildering pieces.
Wolf finds the heavy four-piece distancing itself even more from the straightforward black metal sound, and following a rather progressive approach, presenting more of the band's theatrical qualities, and drawing heavily from death metal, doom and prog rock. The result is a fascinating, brief, yet, totally compelling listen, recorded, mixed and mastered to perfection by the band's own, Colin Marston.
