BTTB (which stands for Back To The Basics) was originally released in 1998, a piano solo and duet album by electronica and experimental music visionary Ryuichi Sakamoto. The album took a completely stripped down direction, hence the title, and marked the artist's departure from the heavier electronic sound of some of his previous releases. It stood out back then by showcasing the great musician's commitment to a more traditional approach.
For its 20th anniversary BTTB is being remastered and reissued, and it comes with a freshly created promotional video for the song Energy Flow which appeared on the album's international version.
The video's beautiful scenes and landscapes, presented in superior black and white, match and complement the music's fragility with sublimity and elegance.
BTTB – 20th Anniversary Edition comes out on March 1st, 2019 via Milan Records on digital, CD, and deluxe double vinyl LP.
