Leaning on a more technical, math-inclined post punk sound, Brooklyn's UV Rays have been steadily producing a short series of well crafted and highly energetic singles, leading up to the quartet's debut EP, Try and Begin, coming out March 1st, 2019.
Brand new single, Flowerhead, presents the band's artistry at its most memorable, showing off the sweet power pop qualities that comes alongside their vigorous dynamism. It is as colorful and fanciful as the title suggests, demonstrating how the band has come a very long way since their inception as a bedroom art rock project. The song comes accompanied by a fine looking clip which adds much to the whole liveliness.
UV Rays are Adrien DeFontaine (guitar, vocals), Tim Marchetta-Wood (bass, vocals), Daniel Sullivan (guitar) and Rhee Warner (drums, vocals).
The quartet will be embarking on an East Coast Tour in support of the upcoming Try and Begin, while they already have a second EP in the works, and scheduled for release later in 2019.
