After the pristine EP that was last year's You & Me & Infinity, the great Cold Cave return with a new single, while they prepare for an ambitious North American tour. Promised Land is a spotless dark synthpop showpiece which can bring to mind the sophistication of Depeche Mode's Some Great Reward, as well as the murky rock grit and confidence found on the debut album by The Sisters of Mercy. The new song was mixed by Chris Coady and mastered by Bob Weston.
The coming tour will find Cold Cave again playing as a full live band, featuring Wes Eisold, Amy Lee, Nils Blue, Ryan McMahon and Anthony Anzaldo (Ceremony). Dates will include support from Adult. and Vowws, and a special one at Brooklyn Steel on March 4th, 2019 with the legendary Psychic TV.
The cool visual that comes with the track was directed by Travis Shinn and Jeremy Danger.
