Returning with their first studio album in six years, British art rockers, These New Puritans, have unveiled the LP's imposing title track and imaginative video, directed by the award-winning artist and photographer, Harley Weir, in collaboration with the band's own George Barnett. The follow up to Field of Reeds will be the fourth full length by These New Puritans, titled Inside The Rose, and scheduled for release March 22nd 2019.
The upcoming album was recorded in Berlin, London and the band's hometown at Southend-on-Sea, and mixed in Los Angeles, and it promises to feature some of the most daring, graceful and innovative musicianship the duo of Jack and George Barnett have had to offer thus far. The title track further warrants the album's class.
"The songs are about beauty, transcendence, desire, oblivion, ecstasy and eyes," says Jack Barnett. "I want to go beyond myself and my time. That’s the art I like. Whether it’s Francis Bacon or William Blake. You fail, inevitably, but that’s the challenge."
These New Puritans will be supporting the release of Inside The Rose with a run of twelve live dates across the UK and Europe.
