French shoegazers, Marble Arch, drew inspiration for their name from the white marble monument, located on the West end of Oxford Street. The band will be following their 2015 debut, The Bloom of Division, with their sophomore full length. Children of the Slump comes out March 22nd, 2019 on GĂ©ographie.
Richer and sharper than the project's more DIY and lo-fi directed debut, Gold, the newly unveiled single off the coming album, sounds as much confident as it is delicate, and an exquisite approach on elegant, gazey, well-shaped dreampop, while its splendid accompanying clip, directed by Margot Trutin and Constance Sorel, follows the band wandering around Paris' urban beauty.
Parisian musician, Yann Le Razavet, brings Marble Arch into full fruition as a fully grown and wholly competent five-piece band, and the result sounds engaging by all means.
