A seemingly unconventional, but by all counts perfect match, this newly unveiled collaboration between two deeply prolific artists, heavy rocker Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom, Converge and more) and gothic songstress, Marissa Nadler, springs its first specimen, the darkly and wistful piece, For the Sun.
The two artists met in 2014 at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar where Nadler was performing in support of her album, July, and got along well due to both's desire to explore, and work on something different than their usual projects.
The beautifully titled, Droneflower, is a ten song LP which will be out April 26th, 2019 via Sacred Bones. Alongside its original tracks, the album will include a couple of odd covers from the early nineties, the Guns N’ Roses classic, Estranged, and In Spite of Me, a favorite from the second album by Morphine.
