Coming straight from rock 'n' roll megacity, Austin, Texas, Teenage Cavegirl, composed of L.A. (vocals, drums) and Andy Ray (guitar), deliver an uncomplicated, straightforward garage rock sound full of grabbing immediacy and trash pop aesthetics.
Last year the band put out a wonderful seven-inch single and shared stages with Holly Golightly, The Scientists, and Fred & Toody of Dead Moon, and now they're cooking up the release of their debut ten-inch, Candy Cigarettes which comes out June 1st, 2019. The record was cut at Big Orange Studio in East Austin by Stuart Sikes, whose credits include The Oblivians, A Giant Dog and The White Stripes' milestone, White Blood Cells.
Streaming for the first time ever, right below, comes the colorful and very much vibrant clip for Space Girl, a vibrant garage rocker, alive with sixties pop class, eighties punk grit, and positively enamoring in its less that two-minute candidness. This is pure rock 'n' roll, back to its unvarnished and super fun roots.
