Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, dreampop rising stars, Swim Team, present a much enjoyable take on jangly garage/power pop, with the lo-fi qualities prominent and in full bloom, and always feelingly delivered, and interesting both musically and aesthetically.
The band will be releasing their debut full length, Home Time, on July 12th, 2019 via Hysterical Records, and ahead of it comes the warm and balmy single, New Year, a piece that stands more on the longing and melancholic side of the band's artistry. The song comes accompanied by an excellent, rather moody visual courtesy of Scott Video.
"With the ushering in of each new year, along come a swathe of resolutions," the band state in relation to the new song. "New Year pays homage to the good intentions and the bad realities that inevitably take their place."
