It's becoming apparent that DIIV's third is going to be a good one, a record arriving after the band had taken a long while to reconstruct themselves and reemerge as an enlivened and forceful band which sounds as effective as they did in their early days.
Following last month's, Skin Game, the NYC band deliver Taker, a brilliant piece which balances well between shoegaze, grunge and slowcore, and carries the exact right amounts of melancholy and grit.
Deceiver, DIIV's new LP, comes out October 4th, 2019 through Captured Tracks, and it's justifiably one of the most anticipated albums of the year.
