Alfa Partý is the first single in eight whole years by Icelandic experimental rock 'n' rollers, Apparat Organ Quartet, and their first without founding member, the great Jóhann Jóhannsson, who parted ways with the band in 2012, and sadly passed away last year.
A brilliant motorik rocker with an eye toward krautrock and the enchanting monotony of Kraftwerk, Alfa Partý is being unveiled just in time for the band's celebration of their twenty-year anniversary. The song is also the last single surfacing off the coming 25-year anniversary release by Crunchy Frog, and finds Apparat Organ Quartet in high spirits, making the most of what they self describe as "machine rock’n’roll."
And Now For Something Completely Crunchy comes out September 13th, 2019, featuring contributions from ONBC, Eggstone, Felines, Shiny Darkly and many more.
