Memoria is the solo darkwave/post punk endeavor of Swedish musician, Tess de la Cour (also the drummer for the punk trio, Snake, and a seminal figure in putting together the art project Riot Grrrl Sessions in 2017). Cravings is the project's upcoming debut album, scheduled to be released in October 2019 through Novoton, and introduced by the first single and video for the LP's title track.
A beautiful, colorless visual courtesy of Per Norman, accompanies the music's enchanting darkness, and comes signifying the song's easy to relate to concept of bad desires and people's inability to escape them, just like how in the video the devious forest figure tempts people, leading them into the lake.
Produced to a sharp exquisiteness, and pointing up a pristine goth vocal which feels as seductive as the semiology in both the song and video, Cravings, surely looks and sounds like an adamant first specimen off Memoria's anticipated debut.
