Canadian quintet, Living Hour, released their well received sophomore record, Softer Faces, earlier in 2019 through Kanine Records, and off it now comes a charmingly abstract video to match the music's ethereal properties, created by the band's own, Sam Sarty.
Living Hour are Sam Sarty (lead vocals, keys, trombone), Gil Carroll (guitar), Adam Soloway (guitar, backing vocals), Alex Chochinov (drums, trumpet) and Brett Ticzon (bass, backing vocals). The band will be following their opening shows for Duster with a series of European dates, and appearances at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg and Supersonic in Paris.
Most is a mesmerizing, delicate and soft piece which leans toward the more ambient side of dreampop, and quite artfully brings Softer Faces to an enchanting end. The song echoes memories of Cocteau Twins and Slowdive in a very elegant manner, all wistful and entrancing, pairing dreamy textures with airy vocals.
The album was produced by Kurt Feldman (The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Chairlift, DIIV, Dum Dum Girls) in the band's hometown, Winnipeg, Manitoba at Exchange District Studios, and mixed by Jarvis Taveniere (Real Estate, Woods, Blouse, Widowspeak) at Thump Studios in Brooklyn.
