Keeping on delivering relentless punk rock single after single, Brighton's GURU this time come up with a frantic two-minute cut which gives off measureless energy, and combines the band's wonderful lyricism with their consistently solid execution.
"Don’t Talk is about learning," frontman Tommy Cherrill reveals about his band's newest offering. "Learning from situations, learning from others, learning not to be like others and subsequently not making the same mistakes as those people have. It’s a cry of frustration I wish I could of made quite some time ago but didn’t have the words to. Though I’m still not entirely happy with the words I have now, you gotta walk before you can run, right?"
GURU is Tommy Cherrill (vocals), Kieran Hunter (guitar), Ferg Belfrage (bass), Oli Tcherno (drums).
Live Dates
18 Oct – The Old Blue Last, London
26 Oct – Latest Music Bar, Brighton (w/ Pregoblin)
03 Dec – The Hope & Ruin, Brighton (w/ Phobophobes)
