Los Angeles art punks, The Tissues, present the first single off their upcoming album, Blue Film, scheduled to come out December 2019. The new LP was recorded at Hububaloo Studio in Fullerton, CA and mixed by Colin Knight, and it will be the band's sophomore full length, following Veil from 2017.
Citing influence from icons such as Siouxsie, The Stooges and The Make-Up, the band keeps gaining a lot of traction for their nervy punk rocking delivery and cunning writing, as well as for their live presence, having opened for acts such as Drab Majesty, Surfbort, Dilly Dally, Le Shok, Pylon, Choir Boy, Soft Kill and more.
New single, Rear Window, evokes New York's No Wave, in addition to the boldness of Gang of Four, while the feminist punk backbone of greats like X-Ray Spex and The Slits is always in play. Founded on some sharp guitar riffs and an intense performance by the band's expressive vocalist, Kristine Nevrose, the song wins over its audience instantly, and presents a rising post punk act, currently in fine shape.
The Tissues are Kristine Nevrose (vocals), Jerry Narrows (guitar), Bianca Ayala (bass) and Tara Edwards (drums).
