LA punk legends, X, return with their first new piece of music in thirty whole years with a new version of an outtake from their great debut album, Los Angeles. Delta 88 Nightmare is one of the five new recordings the band laid down with producer Rob Schnapf, featuring all original members Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom, and DJ Bonebrake.
Although X have been very active as a live band in recent years, this is the first time they get in the studio together to come up with new material. A new seven-inch is coming out November 29th, 2019 on Fat Possum including Delta 88 Nightmare and a re-recorded version of the 1987 classic, Cyrano de Berger’s Back.
The fun video for the new rendition of Delta 88 Nightmare was directed by Exene Cervenka's son, Henry Mortensen, starring him and his cousin, Carolyn Allen.
