Following the gratifying listen that was his fourth album, Never Mind the Solar Wind, released earlier in the year, Danish electronica composer Martin Ahm aka Code Elektro, turns his focus on the horror movie scores of the seventies for inspiration, and comes up with a Halloween themed EP that pays tribute to the classic maestros of the genre such as John Carpenter and Goblin, while creating something fresh and authentic.
Under the Dark Moonlight comes off The Halloween Tracks Vol. 1, all moody and haunting, and much like an lost soundtrack from an action thriller, while the artist's signature high quality synthwave identity is once again present and notable.
Danish artist, Jon Gotlev, is responsible for the album's artwork which perfectly utilizes the influence from the distinctively graphic films of that era.
