Swedish alternative rock septet, Bored Man Overboard, went on hiatus in 2012 after releasing a few unofficial EPs and one album through Hazelwood Records. Having re-explored their amalgamating sound, while centering on a more experimental approach in their writing, the band return with Home, their first full length in nine years, co-produced and mixed by Brandon Eggleston (Swans, The Album Leaf, The Dandy Warhols, Modest Mouse, Wye Oak) and mastered at Dynamic Sound Service by Blake Bickel (The Chameleons, Soft Kill, Drab Majesty).
Through the newly unveiled, Spring Morning, the band display their excellent ear for sharp production, ardent delivery and a fusing stylistic direction which draws mainly from shoegaze and post rock, but also risks to bring in elements that point toward ambient and avant-garde art rock, resulting in something challenging and emphatic.
Bored Man Overboard are Chris Lekström (violin), David Khan (vocals, guitar), Gustaf von Essen (bass), Hamon Moravejzadeh (guitar), Henrik Stålnacke (trumpet, guitar), Jakob Bjerkesjö (drums) and Philip Lekström (guitar), although the instruments vary from time to time and from member to member when the band perform live.
Home comes out February 29th, 2020 via Svart Kaffe Records.
