Originating from Lucerne, Switzerland, Hanter Dro is an up and coming quartet whose vigorous post hardcore sound comes akin to the engaging experimental approach of Touché Amoré and La Dispute, juxtaposing hardcore heaviness with ambiance and atmospherics. Death by Algorithm will be the band's sophomore full length, scheduled to come out January 17th, 2020 through Little Jig Records.
Characteristic of Hanter Dro's overall fervor and well realized contrasts, Turtle Man is the coming album's splendid opening track; a three-minute piece of lively, contemporary hardcore centered on a guttural and deeply sentimental vocal delivery, paired with instrumental competency that gives ground for both the harsher and the more melodious parts to thrive, and construct an admirable kind of levelness.
Death by Algorithm was mixed by Chris Common (These Arms Are Snakes, Le Butcherettes) and finds Hanter Dro's sound at its sharpest form.
