San Antonio's Processions are one of the latest additions to the roster of lo-fi bedroom pop cassette label, Z Records. The band's debut EP, Blush, from 2017 will be re-released by the eclectic Slovakian label alongside a few additional tracks, as well as some live recordings.
Dalliance is the first song released by Processions in two years, produced by Shaz Soto Munet and mastered by Adam K Stilson at Decades Music Studio. In three dense minutes the song is the epitome of the Texan group's gritty, gazey sound which is deep-rooted in shoegaze and post punk, keeping a steady balance between melancholy and haziness.
The song works like a strong introduction to the band's restored energy, and captures their atmospheric, guitar-driven indie rock spirit like a dream.
The new version of Blush comes out on January 31st, 2020 through Z Records.
