The Know: Hold Me Like You Know Me

Not long after the release of 143, the first track off their coming debut EP, LA-based husband/wife duo, The Know, reveal another sincere, wistful and dreamy new single. Hold Me Like You Know Me is an atmospheric, hazy dreampop piece in the same class as some of Daniel Knowles and Jennifer Farmer's influences, such as Julee Cruise and Beach House.

Like the band's excellent previous visual, the video which comes with the new song was directed by Farmer, and prominently features dancer Lexee Smith who executes a very much expressive choreography in a room full of people, while the solid production, mixing and mastering was handled by Knowles.

"This is a very personal song," Jennifer Farmer reveals. "It describes a feeling of intense loneliness and isolation which I’ve dealt with a lot this past year. Wanting to be seen, felt, loved and adored. Although it’s written from a romantic perspective, I think this feeling is also true of friendships, family, etc. Especially in this modern day and age, where everyone is so detached and in their own worlds, it’s hard to feel connected on any kind of genuine level. You can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely."
