Comedian Brian Posehn hasn’t been shy about his love for heavy metal over the years, and on his next album he takes a crack at metal songwriting himself, in collaboration with members of legendary bands like Slayer, Testament, Soundgarden, Machine Head, Slipknot and more.
The title track of the forthcoming Grandpa Metal is written alongside Scott Ian of the great Anthrax, and it’s a very funny commentary on the dogmatism and narrow-mindedness often found in traditional metalheads. It follows the album’s previously unveiled single, arguably the weirdest ever cover of A-ha’s mega hit, Take On Me.
Grandpa Metal arrives February 14th, 2020, through Megaforce Records.
