An underground garage punk classic from 2007, Walking The Walk was the fourth album by Italian band, The Peawees, originally out on Wynona Records, and now getting the reissued, remixed and remastered treatment from Wild Honey Records.
Sitting comfortably between the straightforward garage rock energy of The Sonics and the soulfulness of The Detroit Cobras, with both of which they have shared stages in the past, The Peawees' sound has always been incredibly lively and potent since their very beginnings in the mid-nineties. Album highlight, Bleeding For You, is a solid example of the band's beautiful balance between punk rock and classic soul, still fascinating thirteen years after its initial release.
In a celebrated and fruitful career The Peawees have left behind six full length albums and many singles, and played gigs all over Europe alongside giants of the genre, like the aforementioned two, as well as The Damned, The Dictators, Radio Birdman, The Dwarves and Bad Religion.
The reissued version of Walking The Walk comes out February 28th, 2020 through Wild Honey Records on a limited blue vinyl run.
